What Is The Rhode Island Cancer Council (RICAN)? The Rhode Island Cancer Council, established in 1999, is a community action program where mission is to help lower cancer's toll in our State. Since our opening, we have helped thousand of Rhode Islanders to find resources vital to deal with their can be done to prevent cancer and ways to detect it early. The Rhode Island Cancer Council achieves its mission by providing programs in Public Education, Education, and Public Information. All our programs are FREE. How Does RICAN Help?
